DJ Earworm ( http://www.djearworm.com/ ) has done it again with his mashup of the top 25 songs of 2009. Wonderful and catchy tune. I enjoyed the 2008 mashup, and especially the Annie Lennox one.

Mashups are awesome. Take two (or more) awesome songs and smash them together to make one awesome song. Wonderful what we can do nowadays.

December 19. The weather report predicted we're getting about 24 inches of snow here in Leesburg, VA. It started falling last night, and it's been going pretty much nonstop every since. Today I'm going to stay inside and wrap YAKMAS presents and drink hot cocoa. I'd bake some cookies, but that would require walking to the store two miles in the snow uphill both ways! HA! I'll probably go out later to shovel the walk and try to find our newspaper, which is buried under the snow somewhere. Nice.

Midwest FurFest ( http://www.furfest.org ) was awesome as usual. They're the third-largest furry convention, and had 2,040 attendees this year. This is the one convention Rigel and I actually get to relax at. I had fun hanging out with friends, playing Lupus En Tabula, getting some artwork done. I seriously need to draw up a character reference sheet for Xydexx if I want to get any more commissions done, though. Lots of fursuits (yay!). I need one.

27 mile bike ride on the abandoned section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, complete with scary tunnels! The bike headlight I bought for the journey worked very well! We rode out to Twist and Shake in Hustontown for lunch (burger and fries, om nom nom) and then back. Total ride time was 3 1/2 hours, plus it takes 2 hours to get up there from Leesburg, but it's a fun ride nonetheless. I have about 75 more miles to go to reach my goal for the year. I'm going to attempt this tomorrow, biking into DC.

My recumbent's in the shop right now, so I'm occupying myself with the Bird's Eye View maps on live.com and trying to scope out some more abandoned houses in the area. Found a possibly-abandoned farm on not-so-bike-friendly Evergreen Mill Road, and a row of five identical abandoned houses South of Route 50. I'll check those out in more detail when I get my bike back.

I'll also be biking the entire length of the C&O Canal (184 miles!) later this year. That will be all kinds of fun.

There is a Noorwegian proverb that cookies are made out of butter and love.

Last night I tried the new oatmeal-cinnamon-raisin cookie recipe. It worked better than the last recipe, which resulted in rock solid chunks of inedible something.

This time, however, I did good. These cookies are yummy and delicious and awesome. Rigelkitty approves of them, even though they contain half pound of butter.

Here are a few things I picked up on a recent shopping adventure with Rigelkitty to Grand Mart. How can you resist a drink called BOING? That drink sounds like I feel!

Xydexx is awesome because he eats things like this.
